At Yfeos, we are committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that art and design should be experienced without barriers, and we continually work to ensure that our digital presence is inclusive, usable, and compliant with international accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which outline best practices for making web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
To achieve accessibility across our site, we have implemented the following measures:
Semantic structure: Proper use of headings, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to support screen readers.
Keyboard navigation: All key functionality is accessible by keyboard, including menus, product galleries, and overlays.
Skip links: Added “Skip to content” links for easier navigation.
Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed recommended contrast ratios.
Responsive design: Our site adapts across desktop, tablet, and mobile without loss of function.
Alt text for images: All decorative and artistic images include meaningful alt text or marked as decorative where appropriate.
Accessible video content: Hero videos and media include transcripts, captions (English & Greek), and descriptive text.
Overlay and pop-ups: Custom drawers, filters, and story panels use ARIA roles, focus trapping, and proper closing behavior.
Forms: Labels and instructions are provided for all input fields, and errors are clearly described.
Performance & readability: Pages load efficiently, typography follows consistent rhythm and spacing, and no flashing or blinking elements are used that could trigger seizures.
Accessibility is not a one-time effort. We continuously monitor and improve our website by:
Running automated audits (Google Lighthouse, Equalize Digital Accessibility Checker).
Conducting manual tests on desktop and mobile (including iOS devices).
Reviewing new features for compliance before publishing.
Taking into account user feedback and adjusting where needed.
While we strive for full compliance, some areas may still require refinement, such as:
Certain third-party plugins may not be fully accessible.
Older content or archives may not always meet the latest standards.
We are actively working to address these issues.
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Yfeos.
