Project Title:
Entrepreneurship support programme for unemployed individuals aged 30–59 with emphasis on women
This project is implemented under the Operational Programme “Human Resources and Social Cohesion 2021–2027” and aims to strengthen entrepreneurship in Greece by providing targeted support to unemployed persons who wish to establish their own businesses. The action focuses particularly on promoting the participation of women in entrepreneurial activity, contributing to gender equality in the labour market.
Through this programme, 10,055 unemployed individuals aged between 30 and 59 will be supported to create new small and medium-sized enterprises across all regions of the country. By fostering self-employment and new business creation, the programme seeks to generate sustainable job opportunities, encourage innovation, and enhance social and economic cohesion.
Objectives:
To promote access to employment through the creation of new viable enterprises.
To support women’s entrepreneurship and reduce gender disparities in business activity.
To contribute to the revitalisation of local economies and strengthen regional development.
To foster inclusive growth and social cohesion by enabling unemployed people to transition into self-employment.
Funding Information:
The action “Entrepreneurship support programme for unemployed individuals aged 30–59 with emphasis on women” is co-financed by Greece and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), with a total public expenditure of €170,941,273.
